4:30AM - Karen Lockard arrives at church to arrange breakfast for everyone (Thanks Karen!!!)

5:15AM - Dave breaks the news to Caleb that he was somehow flagged as being blind on his boarding pass and special arrangements would be made for him at the airport (oops).
5:30AM - Load up the vehicles and hit the road!

7:35AM - Check in our bags and head to security. We stuffed packs of diapers in everyone's suitcases, filled a whole dufflebag with diapers, and Tammy Shupp is sending us a few more packs.
We ALMOST made it through security without incident. We had one who forgot an ID, one who forgot to throw away her water bottle, and one who didn't realize chocolate milk counted as a liquid. Security was a little grumpy today. They didn't find any of it amusing.

9:29AM - Take off! Well... after waiting in a long line of planes to take off.
11:20AM - Land in Detroit.

All of our luggage arrived safely in Detroit and so did the diapers.

Next we rode a bus to another lot of buses where we had to find the bus that would take us to our hotel. We couldn't leave until everyone going to our hotel was on the bus. We loaded up first and our driver told us we had to wait for 2 more people before we could leave. It took those 2 people 30 minutes to find the bus. So in the meantime, we took some selfies with our new selfie stick.

1:15 PM - arrive at our hotel in Dearborn, MI and we are hungry!
We took a few minutes to drop our things in our room, eat the Doubletree free cookie, and met in the lobby for lunch at Wendy's.

2:30 PM - return to hotel to get wristbands, our Bibles, unpack, change, and rest before the rest of the evening.
The youth don't like to rest. They are bored and are finding more and more interesting ways to amuse themselves in the few hours before dinner.
